Integrative Nurse Coaching

It is a holistic approach believing the ability of the human body to heal when stress is reduced and the body is in balance. With the inner stillness, there is a deepening connection to your personal wisdom, which in turns promotes inner healing.

Through deep listening and reflective awareness practices, my work is done in a therapeutic, collaborative environment which facilitates and encourages your own process of beliefs. I will hold any changes you may desire within the context of your whole existence which includes the body, mind and spirit. This is the context for true wellness . . . finding balance in all dimensions of life.

  • Guide gently by encouraging your own sense of motivation, to be more creative, more resilient and learn how to reduce anxiety and fear around your cancer challenge.
  • Assist you to identify the next steps along your journey. Life is different after cancer. Together we will create a support strategy for coping with emotional issues and finding your “new normal” – often used to describe changes that fill life after cancer.
  • Support you in making healthy lifestyle changes for sustainable wellbeing.

Meditation and Guided Imagery

A study done by Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital, along with the Benson-Henry Institute revealed that evoking the relaxation response helps alleviate stress and anxiety, reduces pain, boosts your immune system, while also affecting heart rate and blood pressure. Meditation can remove stress and replace it with a dose of inner peace.

Reiki

Reiki is a relaxation technique that works with the body and its energy system to reduce stress, aid in healing and promote wellbeing. Reiki also decreases pain, eases symptoms of disease, and deepens spiritual connection and feelings of inner peace. Reiki was developed in Japan in 1922 by Mikao Usui and was brought to the West in 1937 by Hawayo Takata. The popularity of Reiki has grown exponentially in the past few decades.
